Editing Mission:Silica Discovery

This mission educates on the presence of Silica Sand on the plateau biome. However, it can require substantially more investment into combat units to complete. It begins when you locate a ''Miner Base (Abandoned)''.

===== Disturbance Detected =====

ELAIN has detected traces of an abandoned facility surrounded by high volumes of both silica and Bugs.

===== Large Bug Force =====

There is a substantial Bug presence surrounding the mining center. Be advised of the Bug escalation mechanic: as you complete research and grow your base and forces, Bug Hives and Holes will disgorge stronger and larger swarms of Bugs to counterattack. It may be easiest to complete this mission even before deploying your Command Center, easily overcoming the small teams of Trilobites with little resistance. Later on, even well-equipped squadrons of Hounds may find themselves challenged by high numbers of Mothika and Ravagers.

When you are certain the surrounding area is clear of Bugs, interact with the building using a bot.

===== Mining Base Repair =====

Once the area is safe the ''Miner Base (Abandoned) '' will fall under the control of the player faction possessing this mission. It is a Repairable entity which demands Metal Bars, Metal Plates and Circuit Boards.

===== Mining Base Repaired =====

The abandoned facility is restored to a Building 2x2 (2M) equipped with a [[Wind Turbine]], [[Laser Mining Tool]] and [[Deployer]]. The building can now begin mining the adjacent Silica Sand deposit at your discretion; you need only a way to bring the sand to your home base. Once the nearby silica is depleted you can transfer the Deployer to a bot and pack it up for redeployment at another site.
