The '''Building 1x1 (1S)''' is a player-buildable structure.

The first building that the player can place, not counting the deployable Central Command, is the Building 1x1 (1S). True to its name, the building occupies a 1x1 footprint and features one Small socket, three Internal sockets and four Inventory slots.

Its successor is the [[Building 1x1 (2S)]] which has a second Small socket. While the 2S Building obsoletes the 1S in most ways, the 1S does feature additional inventory space and requires only ingredients which can be found or obtained with entry-level technologies.
