Plasma Cannons are medium weapon components produced using a combination of bot and alien technologies. They function as artillery, lobbing plasma projectiles up to 15 cells away. These projectiles do heavy damage direct damage, have a 2-radius area of effect and leave survivors with additional damage over time. Their primary downsides are the 3-cell minimum range and 5 second cycle time, leaving them vulnerable between shots and weak against melee attackers. The arcing shots also take time to reach their target, reducing their effectiveness against mobile enemies.
