Pylons are alien structures used to expand bases. They expand the blight, provide logistics support and provide early Alien production capability.

Like all alien structures a Pylon can only be built within the Blight. When placed they will begin to expand the Blight to a 10-cell radius around them and project a logistics area to a 15-cell radius.

The integrated Pylon Nexus component can produce [[Plasma Crystal]] and [[Alien Worker]] drones. The four drone inventory slots allow Pylons to act as drone hubs.
