'''Human Discovery''' is the technology prerequisite to the Human tech tree.

As a "discovery" tech Human Discovery does not appear on the Research menu. Instead, its completion is triggered by using a [[Small Intel Scanner]] to gain full access to a Human Explorable structure. This functionally gates all Human tech, including the ability to refine Laterite Ore, behind the [[Technology/Scanner Tech|Scanner Tech]] research.
