| You will first need to attach the Laser Mining Tool component on your Scout. After this, select your scout and right click a nearby metal ore deposit. The scout will mine until it's inventory is full or the ore deposit runs out,

| If your scout is connected to the logistics network, if it has finished mining, it will carry out an order (like deliver the ore to a fabricator). Then it will do another order and so on. This is normal behaviour.

| If you want your scout, or any bot, to only mine and do nothing else, there are numerous options.

| *The simplest is to click on the bots logistics network button and deselect "carry out orders".
