The Miner is a module which occupies a Small socket on a bot or building. It is used for gathering from resource nodes.

The Miner is the first available resource gathering module. It can be used to extract Metal Ore, Crystal Chunk, Silica Sand and Blight Crystal from their respective resource sites, reducing the player's reliance on pickups and Explorables. For advanced resources such as Laterite or Obsidian, a Laser Extractor is necessary.

Bots and buildings must be adjacent to a resource node to use the Miner. For this reason, thought must be given as to how many bots are placed in a given region.
